Friends, when the bride prays for snow and the photographer is always happy with 70+ degree weather, you meet somewhere in the middle with a day that ends up being absolute perfection for both parties. That’s what Friday was for us - PERFECTION. We were thrilled to celebrate with Kristina and Patrick as they said “I Do” at one of Pitt County’s best wedding venues, The Robin’s Nest. It’s hard to believe the day has come and gone, but ya’ll… The memories we made!

Oh Kailey. Our kind, gracious, thoughtful, stunning bride Kailey. How has your wedding day already come and gone? Ya’ll, we’ve had a busy, busy weekend but it has been so good to us! We had the best time celebrating Kailey and Bronson yesterday at Carlee Farm, and we are thrilled to share with you all Kailey’s bridal portraits. Kailey is simply stunning in every way. She’s beautiful both inside and out. We hope you’ll love some of our favorite shots from her session as much as we do.

Friends, I still can’t believe that yesterday we shot our first December 2022 wedding. This year has flown by. Ya’ll, it still feels like just yesterday that we were shooting Kristina and Patrick’s engagement session on a cold, snowy day back in January. And now, these two are officially married! We’ve got another wedding today, but I wanted to make sure you guys were able to see Kristina’s beautiful bridal session. Every session at the Robin’s Nest is magical, but we especially enjoyed exploring the property with Kristina.

Tonight’s blog post is another time where I just need to admit that I was wrong. Wrong for taking so long to get Choe and Chandler’s engagement session up on our blog. Ya’ll, these TWO… I’m obsessed. Chloe and Chandler are the type of couple that I have to pinch myself to remind myself how blessed we are to have made a career in the wedding industry. Happy Tuesday, friends! I’m so excited to share tonight’s blog post with the world. I’ve said it before, and it’s worth saying again, our 2023 calendar is shaping up to be simply amazing. One of the weddings we are most looking forward to is Laurel and Jackson’s Crystal Coast celebration next October. Even before their engagement session we were thrilled to have them on our 2023 calendar, but ya’ll after their engagement session, we are even more pumped. Ya’ll, this session was straight FIRE.

Friends, it feels like just yesterday that we first met Lisa and Kris. Somehow time has flown by and we have now captured their engagement session, Lisa’s bridal session, and their wedding. What a fun time it has been getting to know these two. When their wedding day arrived, it had been several months since we were blessed enough to capture a “backyard” wedding. And theirs did not disappoint. When we first started our business, we felt like every other wedding was centered around the intimacy, love, and DIY decor that comes along with private property weddings.

Friends, many of you have heard me say that we have had the BEST weddings this year. Brylie and Tyler’s big day was definitely a highlight not just of our fall season, but of our entire 2022. Seriously, Hurricane Ian may have threatened to throw a kink in our plans, but the day turned out as perfectly as any wedding we have ever been a part of. Seriously, every single detail was Pinterest-worthy. Brylie and Tyler were absolutely amazing every step of the way.

Friends, I keep thinking that today is Wednesday and we get to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow. But, instead there’s an extra day of work between me and that turkey I’m planning to gobble up. Thanksgiving has become one of my favorite holidays over the last few years. I love reflecting and truly soaking in the experience of appreciating all that I have been blessed with. This year there seems to be more than ever to be thankful for. Near the top of my list is my gratitude for our business.
