Somehow, it’s already Thursday which makes me anxious that I am running out of time to work on my to-do list before the weekend, but I’m also feeling awfully proud of what all I have accomplished already this week. Our business has lots of “big” things to get checked off like editing wedding galleries and completing wedding films, but there’s also a thousand other little things like writing thank you notes, sending galleries to vendors, organizing paperwork, and timeline building just to name a few.

Happy Thursday you guys. Tonight’s post is a throwback to mid-summer when we captured Erin + Tyler’s wedding film at the Farmer’s Daughter. It feels like forever ago and just yesterday all at the same time. The heat and pop-up storms that often come with July weddings are often quite the challenge, but there’s also something magical about long summer nights, vibrant colors, and festive celebrations.

Friends, we had two weddings this past weekend. Usually a “double-header” weekend leaves us exhausted - physically and mentally. But guys, this weekend was perfect. Ya’ll have already seen some of our favorite shots from Saturday’s wedding, but now I’m excited to share some of the goodness from Sunday.

Happy Tuesday my people! We had a wedding on Sunday, so it feels much earlier in the week than it actually is. Between two weddings and 3 mini sessions this weekend, Will and I are swimming through 14000+ images and lots of video footage as well. But our calendar is pretty much wide open this week so we are making a huge dent in the “to-do” list.

This is the first week in over a month that Will and I haven’t traveled overnight in one way or another. We’ve been to Wilmington, Cedar Point, Boone, and Bryson City. It’s been a blast, but we are enjoying this “lazy” week at home with our kitties. But we’re also crossing off lots of things on our to-do list. I figured it was time to cross off a few summer weddings that deserve a space on our blog.

All last week, I was convinced that Brylie and Tyler were going to have the misfortune of a “hurricane wedding.” I just knew that it was going to be rainy, gloomy, and windy on Saturday. But these two held out hope and after many prayers, they were blessed with blue skies above them at Tryon Palace. As perfect as the weather was, everything else came together just as perfectly. Brylie and Tyler chose to do a first look and we had the best time exploring the grounds of Tryon with them before the ceremony.

We were so excited to start off this busy wedding stretch with Paige and Davis on Sunday down in Wilmington. Will and I made a long weekend of it and rented the sweetest little AirBnB. We spent a few afternoons at the beach, had a lot of great meals, and spent some time relaxing too. With all of that being said, Paige and Davis’s wedding was definitely the highlight of the trip.

Alright friends, in an effort to get a bit more caught up, here’s a second blog post this evening. I recently shared Kathryn’s bridal session, which was way overdue to be blogged, but Kathryn and Trenton’s wedding film definitely deserves a spot on our blog as well. These two had the most perfect summertime wedding at Cornealius Properties, a lovely gem just outside of Goldsboro. Kathryn and Trenton both brought so much joy and fun to the day. We hope you’ll enjoy some of our favorite moments from their big day.
