Ya’ll can you believe how beautiful this weekend was? Anna and Ben hit the dang jackpot when it comes to weather. Beautiful, sunny skies and temperatures under 90 degrees! That’s unheard of for mid-August. We’d been looking forward to Anna and Ben’s big day at the Cotton Barn for quite some time and let me just tell you… It DID NOT disappoint. We first met Anna and Ben last year at their engagement session. We knew they would be lots of fun throughout their wedding day.

Friends, our first wedding of August is in the books. I’ve shared this in the past, but even though August is still very much summertime, it always feels like the beginning of our fall wedding season, or at least the start of the transition. Some wedding vendors don’t care for July and August weddings, but it’s one of my favorite times of the year. I love all things summer and there’s something in the air with wedding guests and their desire to CELEBRATE and LOVE on the couple when the air is hot and the nights are long.

Ya’ll, I’m making some progress on all of this blogging! Slowly, but surely. Tonight I’m thrilled to share with you guys Hillary and Greg’s wedding film from their Maola at Riverside wedding day. Ya’ll, it was wedding day PERFECTION. Will’s almost done with cooking dinner, so I’ll let the video do all of the talking tonight. Trust us… you’ll see just how much fun we had celebrating Hillary + Greg back in May!

Ya’ll, there are moments in my life where I feel like I just need to pinch myself to remind myself that we are truly living the dream. I can’t begin to count how many times I have thanked God for the blessing of this business. Last month we had the amazing opportunity to capture Tiffany and Corey’s intimate elopement down in Emerald Isle. Ya’ll, we’ve always loved elopements, but as our calendar gets busier and busier, we truly love when we have the opportunity to slow down and take in a wedding day the way we can when a couple elopes.

Happy Wednesday, ya’ll! We’re already halfway through the week and we’re thrilled for this weekend’s wedding. I’ve had lots of time so far this week to work on updating our portfolio a bit, organizing photos on my computer, working on some educational blog posts, and planning for this month’s weddings. We definitely stay busy during the week around here. But today, I wanted to take a few minutes to continue making a dent in my list of things that deserve a spot on our blog! So, I’m thrilled to share Kendall and Travis’s wedding day film.

Last week I had a lovely bride ask me for bridal session location recommendations. Years ago I had a post about some of our favorites, but as we have gained more experience, our preferences have changed a bit. I figured it was time for a new post.

Tonight I’m thrilled to share with you all Morgan and Joe’s wedding film from back in May. Ya’ll, we love all weddings at the May Lew Farm, but this one just hit different ya’ll. The day was absolute PERFECTION. Morgan and Joe incorporated so many special moments in their day - from sharing their vows during the first look to incorporating their sweet fur baby in special moments throughout the day, the day truly was about THEM as a couple. We loved getting to know these two and their families. We hope their wedding film gives you all of the warm and fuzzies that we felt throughout the day!

This evening, I’m starting with Macy + Nick’s wedding film. These two had THE MOST PERFECT wedding day back in April. Seriously, it was perfection. We get to see this amazing couple next Saturday at one of Macy’s best friend’s wedding. We love celebrating couples that were in past weddings because we know how much fun they will be.
