Summertime, summertime… I LOVE YOU! I really truly do with all of my heart love summertime. But on the afternoon of Brittany and Danford’s engagement session, I was not feeling summertime. When I checked the forecast that morning, there was 10% chance of rain. TEN!

They say with each passing year, life moves faster and faster. And ya’ll, isn’t that the truth? Since I turned thirty a year and a half ago, life seems to be flying past. We start our wedding season in March and year after year I feel like we have blinked and it is September already.

One of our favorite engagement sessions from this past summer was with Janelle and Paul. They’ll be getting married next June, and we simply can’t wait! Janelle and Paul are such naturals in front of the camera. Even though their session was scheduled for 8 a.m., they started this session with such joy and enthusiasm.

By this point in the week, you’ve probably already seen some of our favorite shots from Kalen and Matthew’s May Lew Farm wedding day as well as their teaser video. Well today I’m excited to share with the world some of our favorite images from Kalen’s bridal session.

Last night I shared a wedding video from back in June, and since today is Thursday, it’s only fair that I throw it back to another wedding film from June. Kailey and Logan had an amazing wedding day that started with a ceremony at Kailey’s home church in Williamston and finished with a lively reception at Southern Acres of Bath.

It’s been a few months since we’ve shared a wedding day highlight film, and even though it’s not a Thursday, we’re going to throw it back to mid-June. I cannot believe that it’s already been more than three months since Blake and Robert’s wedding day. It was such a beautiful day with the most perfect couple.

Kalen and Matt chose to get married at one of our favorite venues, which also happens to be the closest venue to our home, the May Lew Farm. It never gets old spending wedding days there. From the bridal and groom suites, to the choices of ceremony spaces, to the historic old cattle barn for the reception, everything about the property is perfection.

You guys… does summertime really have to be over? Summer weddings are my absolute favorite! We had the best Labor Day weekend with a wedding on both Friday and Saturday. Friday’s wedding was the epitome of everything that I love about summer…
