Tonight, I’m excited to share a preview of the wedding we shot on Friday at the Sutherland in Wake Forest. It was a wedding that made it’s way onto our calendar last minute, but it was one that has definitely made a lasting impression on us.

How many of you love Wilmington? We sure do! And it honestly has nothing to do with the beach for us. It’s such a fun city and their wedding scene is always amazing. We had the opportunity to capture Kylie and Colby’s Wrightsville Manor wedding day this past Sunday.

When Will and I think of the height of wedding season, we think of one word: October. One thing has remained predictable in our business since we first started shooting weddings in 2011 - October has always been busy.

You guys, by the end of 2019 we will have been a part of 43 weddings. FORTY-THREE! Wedding season is a complete and utter whirlwind for us. But we truly love it. We started this business as photographers in 2010, but back in 2015 we added on videography services as well.

You guys!!! Taylar is officially MRS. Everett! My head is still spinning from how amazing Saturday was. So many gorgeous, friendly, kind friends, family, and guests. So many sweet, emotion-filled moments. So many beautiful details throughout the day. Seriously, we feel like we have the best job in the world as wedding photographers.

Earlier today I was reading another photographer’s description of their job and she mentioned that she is still enchanted by weddings after many years in the industry. And I thought “that is the most perfect word for how I feel.” Enchanted. 2019 is our ninth year in the wedding industry and I can honestly say that we still love it.

What a yucky, gloomy day we’ve had today! I’m such a summer girl, and today’s weather is the epitome of why I sometimes dread autumn’s arrival. Luckily, most fall days aren’t this dreary.

You guys, Mondays stink, right? Our day has been full of office work - answering e-mails, paying bills, trying to figure out why every day can’t feel like the weekend. And then, I realized it’s a holiday and I didn’t even know it. Well whether you spent the day working or not, I’m going to try to make your Monday a little bit better!
