Happy Sunday, ya’ll! I always struggle with time change. But this year that extra hour of sleep did me some good! We had two weddings this weekend. I can’t wait to share some of our favorite shots from the weddings, but in the meantime, I’m thrilled to share Kim’s bridal session with the world now that she is officially Mrs. DuBois!

When talking to our family and friends or other couples, I often find myself using phrases such as “our bride” or “our couple.” I can’t quite decide if that’s weird or not. But I don’t really care. When we work with our clients over the course of their wedding planning, we really do develop a strong relationship. By the end of the experience, many of our couples truly feel like friends to us. We enjoy that about our jobs. I love that throughout a wedding day, I feel like my one and only job is to serve our brides and grooms. If they are getting stressed, I feel like it’s my personal responsibility to fix the problem. They are our people and I want things to be perfect.

Kim is the type of person that being around is easy. She is full of joy. Full of gratitude. Full of personality. She’s loving. Beautiful. Personable. Photogenic. Down to Earth. She smiles and laughs in a way that makes you feel good. She loves on everyone around her. And returning the love is easy. If I could bottle up all of the good things about Kim and save them for a rainy day, I would. This bride is truly a treasure. I’m proud to call her “our” bride. And now our friend.
