You guys… I simply cannot believe that Saturday has come and gone. We feel like we waited FOREVER for Caroline and Tanner’s wedding day and now it is over. We can’t wait to share their wedding day photos and video with them, but in the meantime we are so excited to share with the world Caroline’s bridal session!

In a typical year, we shoot one or two small weddings. 2020 had other plans for us. By year’s end we will have shot a half dozen or more small weddings. Though I would have never wished this pandemic on anyone and their wedding plans, I’m enjoying the small weddings that we have been blessed to be a part of.

Late summer is always a whirlwind of fun for us. We’re still swooning over our summer weddings, but we’re also in the midst of planning for our fall weddings and we’ve booked quite a few weddings into the next year as well.

Cyla and Cole’s wedding on Friday is sure to be one of our most memorable of 2020. We felt an instant connection the first time we met these two and have been looking forward to their wedding day ever since. They are literally two of the sweetest, most loving people that we have ever met.

Happy Thursday you guys! I never meant for today’s post to be a throwback, but boy, did life get busy after we shot Gina and Colin’s micro wedding in May at Longleaf Vineyards, just outside of Asheville. I can still remember when Gina and Colin contacted us about shooting their wedding.

As many of you know, Will and I are not Farmville natives. On a whim, we rented a gorgeous old house here in town in 2010 and twenty months later bought a house. It still feels a bit random that we chose Farmville to plant our roots, but we have fallen in love with this small town.

So, when it was time for Alissa’s bridal session, we knew it was going to be a good time. But ya’ll, I think Will and I both started the day with a tear in our eye that we just couldn’t shake. Alissa was STUNNING… Ya’ll, when I say she took our breath away, I mean it. Everything about her bridal look was absolute perfection.

We’ve known Alissa and her family for quite a while now and we’ve really enjoyed getting to know Chad throughout their wedding planning process. Alissa is one of the sweetest, funniest people I know and it’s such an amazing feeling watching her glow with happiness when Chad is around.
