Ya’ll, Sunday ended a 10 day stretch where we captured 5 weddings. There were moments that I thought we were crazy for scheduling that many events in July, much less in a 10 day span. Even through the sweat and the physical toll the heat took on my body, I felt a tremendous amount of joy knowing that those 5 couples trusted us with capturing one of the best days of their lives.
All 5 of our July weddings were amazing, but ya’ll Matti and Sam made sure we weren’t bored. Their day was filled with lively, joyful moments of pure bliss. When I think back on their big day many years from now, I’m going to remember how FUN it all was. Between the thoughtful, meaningful, emotion-filled ceremony and an evening full of toasts, we really enjoyed getting to know Matti and Sam’s love story. They met on an airplane five years ago and are now living in Louisiana together and they brought so much Louisianan flare to their wedding day. You’ve probably guessed by now, but they incorporated a second line in their day. It was the first time that we’ve had one complete an entire city block. The joy and happiness was simply amazing! What I didn’t see coming was the astronaut/shark/ET entrance for a late-evening surprise. Matti and Sam included Sam’s daughter, Faye, in every aspect of the day and her happiness and energy was simply infectious. We also loved that it was so very obvious that these two share an intense love for the Lord, each other, and their families.
