Ya’ll, I have a confession… I saw no less than 5 posts yesterday with the caption “feeling 22.” And I thought “Wow, that’s odd that so many folks are that into Taylor Swift to describe their new year’s celebrations with her song lyrics.” We were driving home from yesterday’s wedding before it hit me they weren’t just quoting a Taylor Swift song, but it was a reference to 2022! Will’s honestly pretty used to me not always getting song/movie/TV lyrics.
Anyways, after yesterday I can definitely say I’m feeling ’22. Even though Christmas Day was our first Saturday off since August, there is always something symbolic about starting a new calendar year. This year we have 4 weddings in January (followed by 3 in February!), and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our 2022 season than by celebrating Lexi and Chad. They have been incredibly laid back and easy to get along with throughout the entire wedding experience. Even if we did spend half the day picking on Chad to smile, it was so easy to see that he and Lexi were both genuinely happy and full of joy.
In addition to incredible January weather, we were also blessed with an incredible wedding party and parents to work with as well as incredible fellow vendors. Lexi and Chad chose our absolute favorite DJ team. Even though we were “working” the entire day was so fun for us. We hope you’ll enjoy some of our favorite images from the day!
