Happy Sunday, ya’ll! Can you believe that next weekend we celebrate Memorial Day? May has flown by in a whirl of wedding goodness. With 7 weddings this month, we’ve been in a bit of a daze. But in the best way possible. It’s been busy, but full of so many beautiful people, things, and moments.

On Monday, Will and I captured Kelli and Justin’s wedding, just outside of Asheville. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Kelli and Justin, who are currently living and working in Greenville, NC, have family and friends spread across the US. They chose to celebrate their marriage with 16 of their nearest and dearest in an intimate ceremony in the lovely North Carolina mountains. With a ceremony on the river and a tented reception in a field surrounded by rolling hills, we know their guests loved the setting! We love that even with the intimate set-up, Kelli and Justin still chose to have a first look. Ya’ll know Will and I are all about the moment of the first look and love that it allows our couples to spend as much time together as possible on their wedding day. Kelli and Justin were completely game to go along with all of our suggestions and we love the unique photos we were able to capture.

While I will always remember the gorgeous scenery and the images we captured, it will be the love that surrounded Kelli and Justin on their wedding day that I will carry with me. It’s true that the didn’t have a packed dance floor and they didn’t have hundreds of guests to greet at the reception. But they were SURROUNDED by happy vibes and people that love them to their very core. There was so much happiness, laughter, and genuine joy. Future couples, whether you elope or are surrounded by 500 guests, choose joy, happiness, and love. Live life the way that Kelli and Justin do… doling out genuine kindness and love. You’ll change the world. Celebrating Kelli and Justin definitely changed us.
