Anna + Ben - Engagement Session - Washington NC Photographer

Happy almost Thanksgiving, ya’ll! I am over-the-moon giddy with excitement today because tomorrow Will and I are taking an entire day off work. TWENTY-FOUR hours! Seriously no e-mails, no editing, hopefully no phone calls… Just an entire day of us. I’m not sure that has happened since our summer vacation back in July. And after this busy seasons we are in desperate need! So I’ve planned the entire day. We’ll have quick visits with our parents tomorrow morning before putting up our Christmas decorations. Our favorite Christmas album will be on blast. Any guesses what it is?? Hanson’s Snowed In of course! We’ll be cooking our own Thanksgiving dinner before enjoying what has become a bit of a tradition for us - watching Planes, Trains, and Automobiles! Will doesn’t know this yet, but I’m betting I can talk him into a few board games too. I’ve honestly not been this excited for a day at home in a long, long time!

Before “clocking out” tonight, I wanted to fit in one last blog post. And it’s a good one, ya’ll! We shot Anna and Ben’s engagement session last month around some of our favorite places in Washington. It was our first time meeting this adorable couple in person, and I can already tell you that their wedding day is going to be one of our favorites of 2022. This session was a long time in the making thanks to a weather delay and our busy calendar, but boy was it worth the wait! Anna kept such a great attitude throughout the challenges of scheduling. I knew from that point that she was going to be easy to work with. What I didn’t realize until the day of the session was just how much FUN Anna and Ben are. This session was shot just before the height of our busy season and it was medicine for my soul to laugh so much with them. Even though it was a gloomy, overcast day, I still love these images.
