Ya’ll, let’s talk about yesterday. Yes, it was Friday the 13th. Yes, there was a ridiculously full harvest moon. Or so they say. I guess for all I really know that could have been made up? And yes, it was the first of 3 weddings we have this weekend. And…. It. Was. Perfect. Okay, to be honest, there was a ridiculously sweltering, almost comically hot, trolley ride with the best bridal party ever. And there was rain that came out of NOWHERE. As in completely unexpected thunder just seconds before Amanda walked out the door to see Freddy for their First Look. But none of those things are what I will remember about yesterday. What I will always remember is the feeling of walking into the venue and realizing that my sweet friend Amanda is quite possibly the most beautiful bride I have ever seen and quickly realizing that she has surrounded herself with equally gorgeous, fun-to-be-around friends herself. Amanda is the type of person that loves with her whole heart and makes friends so incredibly easily. And did I mention how insanely gorgeous she is? Straight out of a magazine gorgeous. And, then, there’s Freddy. He is the perfect match for Amanda. He’s also super handsome and photogenic. He has also surrounded himself with an amazing group of friends who kept us laughing all day long. But what really makes Freddy stand out, and such a great match for Amanda, is his ability to make everyone feel like they are an old friend. Talking to Freddy is easy. Watching him laugh and interact with those around him leaves you with a smile. Ya’ll, I could write for days and I know I wouldn’t do this amazing couple justice. Just trust us, we LOVE them. And we feel so lucky that they are not only our clients, but also our friends. We could not have asked for a better start to the weekend.

We also could not have asked for a better team to work with yesterday at Amanda and Freddy’s Wilmington, NC wedding. The Brooklyn Arts Center exceeded every single expectation we had. Jana and her team with Design a Dream Weddings and Events worked so hard to make sure Amanda and Freddy had quite literally THE. BEST. DAY. EVER. Ya’ll should have seen how gracefully they handled a pour down rain that popped up on the outdoor cocktail hour before the reception space was completely flipped. Amanda’s friend, Cameron, did ALL of the hair and make-up for this gorgeous group of ladies! And the DJ, Jay, well once we share the video with you guys, you’ll see how just how awesome he was at keeping the dance floor FULL!

Amanda and Freddy, we cannot thank you guys enough for trusting us with these awesome memories. You planned what is one of our favorite weddings ever! We love you both for being so amazing, kind, and welcoming!
