Sarah & Nelson - Tryon Palace Wedding Preview - New Bern NC Photographer
Will and I hope you guys had the happiest of Easter weekends! Along with our Easter festivities, we were able to celebrate with Sarah and Nelson on Saturday at their Stanly House Garden wedding ceremony and Mattocks Hall reception. We have always loved the New Bern wedding market, but it had been several years since we have shot in downtown New Bern on a wedding day. Saturday certainly did not disappoint. Sarah and Nelson were the perfect couple to explore the area with. Sarah and her girls completed all of their preparations at the Jarvis at 220 Bed and Breakfast while Nelson and his guys got ready at the Benjamin Ellis House Bed and Breakfast. Their 6:00 ceremony in the Stanly House Gardens had the most perfect light and Sarah wore the most perfect gown from Thornbury Brides. We loved exploring Tryon Palace’s grounds after the ceremony before heading to Mattocks Hall at the North Carolina History Center. I mention all of the details of Sarah and Nelson’s big day because they are certainly important and they tell the story of the wedding day, but to tell the real story of the day, I have to tell you about Sarah and Nelson themselves. Sarah and Nelson are two of the easiest people we have ever been blessed to work with. They are genuinely happy together and so easy to get along with. Sarah and Nelson both put as much energy into caring about the ones around them as they do themselves. It’s obvious to see how fiercely they love their families and how adored they are in return. Saturday was truly the best, feel-good celebration of their love. Sarah and Nelson, thank you so much for trusting us with your wedding photos. We can’t wait to hear all about the honeymoon!
