Prianka & Matt - The Sheraton Downtown Wedding Preview - Raleigh NC Photographer

Ya’ll, I went to bed at 7:30 last night. SEVEN THIRTY. But then I woke up at 9:30 and tossed, turned, and read a book until 12:30 before proceeding to sleep until 8:00 this morning. Tis the season to be exhausted, right? We shot fourteen mini sessions yesterday, following an amazing, but long day on Saturday. Sometimes when we are elbow-deep in editing, e-mails, and more editing I question why it is we choose to do what we do. But that feeling only lasts a moment. The reason we do what we do is for all the fun we have when we are actually taking the photos. If we could shoot weddings every day of the year, I totally would. Especially if they all were as much fun as Prianka and Matt’s big day.

Will and I have had the pleasure of getting to know Prianka and Matt slowly over the last year and a half. Prianka’s friends Aveni and Nil were the first to trust us to capture an Indian wedding and we were immediately enamored with the fun and excitement of their big day. You could even say we are addicted to the thrill that comes with capturing the fast-paced celebration that is an Indian wedding day. After getting to know Pri at Aveni and Nil’s wedding, we got to hang out with Prianka and Matt again at Pri’s sister, Debbie’s, wedding last November. So, as you can imagine we squealed with absolute delight when the message came through earlier this year asking us to capture their big day. Ya’ll, from the very first moment we knew it would be a wedding that we would remember for the rest of our lives. Prianka is breathtakingly stunning and we knew she was going to be a perfect bride. She has the perfect mixture of style, organization, kindness, and attention to detail. Matt’s excitement and enthusiasm for life and those around him makes him the perfect groom in our book. Even when things were running behind at a few points throughout the day, the mood stayed completely celebratory and the smiles and laughs never ended. Prianka and Matt both make it a priority to love on everyone around them. Their Hindu/Christian ceremony was so beautiful and full of emotion. Seriously ya’ll, if we could relive their day over and over again, we absolutely would. We hope these preview photos will help tell the story of their day!
