Weddings. We live and breathe them. There are times that it feels like we are going through the motions week after week. Collecting timelines, organizing family photo requests, shooting, and then editing. Sometimes it starts to feel like JUST a job. But then, a couple comes along and stops us in our tracks. Kendall and Travis were that couple for us. Though my body ached at the end of the night and my camera cards were filled with images, I felt like I had spent the day as a wedding guest celebrating these two. There were so many moments throughout their wedding day that I was reminded of why we do what we do. LOVE. JOY. HAPPINESS. CELEBRATION. Did everything go smoothly? Well no. A pop up storm really threw all of us vendors for a loop. And breaking the news to Kendall that it was throwing a kink into plans wasn’t a highlight of the day. But ya’ll, a month from now that’s not what I’ll remember, and I hope Kendall and Travis don’t either. But instead, I’ll remember the tears of joy that Kendall shed just before the first look. I’ll remember her ear to ear smile that she had walking down the aisle, even as rogue raindrops fell and the sky turned gray. I’ll remember how Travis didn’t complain once even though prior to the storm’s arrival, it was the hottest weekend of the year. I’ll remember his surprise entrance to the garter removal, knowing he’d do anything to keep a smile on Kendall’s face. I’ll remember how the bridesmaids and groomsmen were 100% there for their sweet friends. I’ll remember love. I’ll remember joy. I’ll remember happiness. And through these photos, I hope Kendall and Travis will remember there best day of their lives as fondly as I will!
