Tera + Shane - Greenbrier Farms Wedding Preview - Chesapeake VA Photographer

Since we are officially in November, I’d love to start this post with a bit of gratitude. Will and I started this business about this time of year back in 2010. This is our eleventh wedding season. If you had told us in 2010 that by 2021 we would reach all of the goals we had set for ourselves and this business, I’m not sure I would have believed you. We have put in literally countless hours of hard work over the years, but it is our clients that have made this business what it is. If you are reading this and you are a past client of ours, THANK YOU for trusting us with your precious memories. If you are an upcoming client of ours, you give us something to look forward to and the drive to continually learn and to be better at what we do. If you are just someone random out there that has supported our business by liking/sharing/reading our posts, THANK YOU. As vain as I feel typing this, on our hard days, your love on social media makes it all worthwhile. To all of you, THANK YOU will never seem like enough.

So where does all of this fit into Tera and Shane’s blog post? Well let me just tell you, there were countless times on Sunday as I stood back and watched the day unfold, that I kept feeling like I needed to pinch myself. Will and I literally feel like we have the best job ever. For a day, we get to be a part of our clients’ family. We get to see the stressful moments and the way our couples are loved on by those around them during that time. We get to see the happy moments and how our couples are celebrated by their friends and family. We get to watch the fun and joy of a reception after months of wedding planning. We get to hear speeches from our bride and grooms most cherished family and friends. It literally never gets old.

Tera and Shane’s wedding day had all of our favorite aspects of a wedding. Tera and Shane were both absolutely gorgeous and glowed with such an intense happiness. Their joy for the celebration was so obvious throughout the day, but I must say they glowed just a bit more with their adorable son, Jackson, around. The wedding day was unique. There were hayrides and chickens. A field full of sunflowers. The hustle and bustle of Halloween festivities. An amazing food truck. In short, the day was perfect. We love that they mixed in just the right amount of Halloween fun with their introductions. If I could, I’d relive their day over and over again. It was just that perfect! I hope you’ll enjoy some of our favorite shots from the big day!
